My beautiful baby girl Camille is born

My wife Grace just finished a marathon it feels like, giving birth to our 7.35 lbs baby girl. Grace didn't use any epidural and was instead using laughing gas for pain management. We came in to the birthing unit at 7pm but her contactions started around 3pm. Thank goodness my mother-in-law is here and Philip also agreed to sleep over to help her look after Kyle. I can't believe how much we missed Kyle as it was the first night we spent away from each other. We received Camille Kate November 4 2009 at 1:53am at the Surrey Memorial Birthing unit. She came out very quiet at first but was soon crying and I immediately noticed her two dimples on her cheeks. Very nice. She also has a full set of hair already and I know she will be very beautiful just like her mother. I cut her umbilical cord and was very happy with the miracle. I just can't believe my wife's strength for delivering this bundle of joy. You should have seen Grace. She was in a lot of pain and I truly love her...

Block Party at Sullivan Heights 61B Ave

We just finished another successful neighborhood get-together in theform of a block party at our culdesac. It was organized by Tina and Arminder this year because Dave did it last year. It was great. We had greek and tandoori barbecued chicken. They said it was from a punjab store on 152nd street, behind the temple. We'll try it out next time. It was pot luck so grace cooked her famous spring rolls. Grinded some onions and garlic with brown vinegar for the dip. It was a winnner. There were a few pregnant women there and some toddlers. Serena was there, late because she was taking some powerpoint courses. She brought her daughter who brought her boyfriend who brought his two cute chiwawas. They were shivering all night but I think that's how they normally are. It was a little chilly last night which is why kyle and I left early. Serena's brother peter also showed up for a little bit. His 16 year old son is a karate blackbelt and is competing in Morocco. That's an entire ...

Kyle's 1-year baptism anniversary

We celebrated Kyle's 1-year baptism anniversary with his ninong Raul, Helen, Antonio, and Iris. I can't believe its been a year already. He received a children's bible and a cross as gifts. Helen also brought him some flowers. So thoughtful. Kyle was so happy to see antonio and iris and kept hugging the both of them. Kyle had the sniffles unfortunately and kept on sneezing, with tons of snot coming out his nose. Poor guy. I hope antonio and iris don't get sick after this. Anyway, we had some wine, 1516 lager, ribs (sauce was a litlle hot for the kids), salad, spring rolls, and pansit. I was stuffed. Grace did a great job preparing the meal seeing as she is very pregnant and didn't get enough sleep the night before.

Confederation Park birthday party for Alexa

It was my goddaughter Alexa's 4th birthday this past weekend and we celebrated it at the confederation park in burnaby. We rode the minitrain around the tracks. The mini train is run by volunteers, mostly by funny retired engineers who drive everyone around and around all day. I took a video of us, including Kyle, on one of the mini train cars and will post it here soon. I just have to stitch them all up so its one contiguous movie.

My brother Nick's 10th wedding anniversary

My brother's wedding anniversary was August 14th and it was great seeing them renew their vows.pastor jeremy recited how Nick and Rowena met and provided inspirational advise. The emcees John and Francely also had a great story. It happened a long long time ago in a kingdom run by king victorious and recounts all his kid's magical powers. Nick found his power after meeting Rowena and they lived happily thereafter. I thought it was hilarious and I enjoyed it.It was my turn after that and have a toast to the bride and groom. The only thing missing at that point was the wine to toast with. That came later. Then naneng and krystaline sang a song followed by Russell's band. Overall I thought it was a success except for the missed slideshow and papa's speech. I would have liked to have seen those two.

My beloved 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse is for sale

I've had this car since 1994 and it was my university car back in UHM in Honolulu. Had a lot of memories with it. Enjoy driving around with it especially during summer, mostly because it reminded me of my days in Hawaii. Winter driving is ok too because it's a stick shift and is great on steep hills which is what I have at home. It's on sale for $1200. I don't want to sell it but it's my second car and I can't afford the insurance. I also don't have any space in the garage for a second car so I'm letting it go. There is nothing wrong with it. Just got the car air-cared and it's good until June 2010. Want more? Come and get it
